J & I Produce
Brothers Jacob and Isaac Stoltzfus have been farming their 180 acres for twelve years. Here they join with their wives, children, parents, and siblings in working together to produce tasty, healthful food and nurture family ties.

Isaac and his wife, Mary, have a 2-year-old daughter named Anna, already an eager and energetic helper around the farm. Anna was recently joined by baby brother Samuel. Jacob and his wife, Malinda, also have a young daughter and son, Nancy, 2 1/2, and Ephraim, 1 year. Other family members who live and work on the farm include brothers Amos and David, sisters Sarah and Lydia, and parents Isaac and Barbara.

J & I Produce raises an assortment of vegetablesgreen beans, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zucchinis, sweet corn and more. There are also cows for both beef and dairy, and chickens for poultry and eggs. Isaac and Mary take care of dairy and manage the produce. Jacob and Malinda also manage produce and are working to expand the beef operation. The rest of the clan helps out wherever help is needed, though David frequently assists in the shop. The farm also houses a woodworking shop, operated by Isaac, Sr. Snapper, the familys red heeler, pulls his weight by helping bring in the cattle. And Mollie, the other dog, doesnt work quite as hard but is a fat and friendly companion.

Why is growing organic a priority for your family?
We were concerned about having good quality, healthy products without chemicals.

What is your favorite part of being an organic farmer?
The idea of having and growing healthy, nutritious products and food for ourselves and for the consumers-chemical free.

Why should people buy organic products instead of other options?
Organic products are safer and better for peoples health.
