The Indoor Garden has been growing organic sprouts in Chicago since 1987. Their indoor facility is located in an 8,000-square-foot facility located near Midway Airport on the South Side of Chicago.

Their growing process is chemical-free and certified organic by the Organic Crop Improvement Association (OCIA). Besides the fact that they use only the finest seed stock available for their seeds, they also have impeccable sanitation standards and rigorous testing programs to ensure that their facilities are clean and safe. The Indoor Garden guarantees top quality product. Every cycle is finished with a lab testing of every sample for E. coli or salmonella.

The Indoor Garden specializes in the cultivation of over a dozen types of sprouts, including beans, greens, and grasses. Their lineup features mini- sprouts of alfalfa, clover, broccoli, and onion. They also sell heartier bean sprouts of adzuki, garbanzo, lentil, and soy seeds. Perhaps their most popular crops are the trays of sunflower, snow pea, and wheatgrass sprouts for cuttings. Many people juice the wheatgrass for a nutrient-dense shot of energy. Wheatgrass is also sold in mini-trays for pets.

Brian Gorman purchased The Indoor Garden four and a half years ago and has been enjoying learning and growing the business (literally and figuratively!) ever since. He looks forward to the day when they will move to their new state-of-the-art facility on Chicagos West Side.
