The Herbal Garden

Tucked away on 60 acres outside of Chicago, The Herbal Garden grows and packages fresh herbs for dozens of the nation’s largest grocery chains and other independent retailers.  They offer over 23 varieties of fresh herbs which are grown in 15 state-of-the art greenhouses and processed in a 16,000 square foot packing facility.

The Herbal Garden was founded in 1986 by Vern Meyer who was then a trained chef in Chicago.  Since then, The Herbal Garden has grown to be the premier supplier of fresh, pesticide-free and organic culinary herbs, specialty salads, and gourmet edible flowers.

According to Sharon Joseph, President of The Herbal Garden, the commitment to growing certified organic products is to protect Mother Earth and all its inhabitants.  The Herbal Garden is special because of its attention to detail, commitment to quality and “loving what we do.”
